How to submit your collectibles to IGA
Whether you are submitting a single piece or a full collection, the IGA submission process is designed to be clear, organized, and easy to follow from the first step through the return of your graded and documented items.
Three things to prepare first
Good preparation before submission helps speed up review, reduce errors, and ensure that every item is recorded clearly from the beginning.
Active Account or Membership
To create a submission, you need an active IGA account. Through your account, you can add items, track submission status, review invoices, and access certificate data after the service is completed.
Choose Your Membership →What We Accept
IGA accepts coins, medals, tokens, and commemorative issues, whether historical or modern, local or international, according to the available categories and services. Some items may not be eligible for encapsulation, especially if they are not genuine, have active damage, or are not suitable for safe preservation. In such cases, the result will be explained according to IGA procedures.
Browse Categories →Choose a Service Level
Select the service level that matches your required turnaround and item type. Time and cost may vary depending on service level, item count, and declared value. Submission details and costs are confirmed before processing begins.

Create your submission online
Log in to your account and start a new submission. Add the details for each item, select the correct category, enter the declared value, and choose the required service level. Provide a clear description for each item and include any useful information that may support review, such as date, country, denomination, metal, or special notes.
- Select the correct category for each item.
- Enter a realistic declared value.
- Add a clear description and review all details before confirming.

Prepare your items safely
Each item should be placed separately in a safe submission flip, such as Mylar, 2x2, or PVC-free soft flip. Do not allow items to touch each other directly, and do not use materials that may damage the surface. After preparing the items, place them in secure packaging with enough cushioning to prevent movement, and include a printed copy of the submission summary inside the package.
- Keep each item separated, and do not use PVC.
- Do not clean the item before submission.
- Include a printed submission summary.

Send your items or deliver them in person
After confirming the submission, you may deliver the items to an approved intake point or send them through a reliable tracked shipping service. The package should be securely sealed and clearly marked with the submission details. Packaging and shipping to IGA remain the client’s responsibility until the package is officially received and registered in the system.
- Use tracked shipping whenever possible and keep the tracking number.
- Make sure submission details are clearly included.
- Do not send items before confirming the submission.

Track every stage clearly
After the package is received and registered, the submission status is updated in your account. You can follow the different stages, including receiving, data review, examination, grading, imaging, encapsulation, and quality review. The team may contact you if clarification, additional images, or a decision is needed for a specific item.
- Track the submission from your account.
- Review any notifications or update requests.
- Each item is registered in the system; contact support when needed.

Receive your documented collectibles
After examination, grading, and imaging are completed, eligible items are encapsulated in IGA slabs, and each item receives a printed label and a verifiable digital certificate. You may receive the items through the selected return option or collect them from the approved pickup point, depending on the options available in your submission. Certificate data becomes available for verification after processing is completed according to IGA procedures.
- Secure slab for each eligible item.
- Printed label with item data and grade.
- Verifiable digital certificate with registered images linked to the certificate page.
How to pack your items before sending
Correct packaging protects the item during transport and initial review. A small packaging mistake can cause scratches, friction, or avoidable damage.
Do
- Use Mylar, 2x2, or PVC-free soft flip.
- Place each item in a separate flip.
- Wrap securely inside a rigid outer box.
- Use enough cushioning to prevent movement, and include a printed submission summary.
Do Not
- Do not use PVC, or allow coins or medals to touch each other.
- Do not place tape directly on the item.
- Do not clean items before submission.
- Do not use thin envelopes or weak packaging, or send items not listed in the submission.
How we protect your coins after intake
Packaging is your part — protecting and grading your coins is ours. From the moment a parcel arrives at IGA, every item is logged, handled, and reviewed under controlled procedures designed to keep your coins safe and your record accurate.
Logged on arrival
Every parcel is opened on a dedicated intake bench, photographed, and matched to your submission. You receive a status update as soon as items enter our system.
Handled with care
Climate-controlled work areas, lint-free gloves, and individual trays for every piece. Coins are never stacked, dropped, or exposed to abrasive surfaces.
Reviewed by experienced graders
Each piece is examined by qualified numismatists, with borderline calls confirmed by a second opinion. Our standards are documented and applied consistently.
Sealed and certified
A tamper-evident slab, an NFC-verified chip, and a permanent label tie your coin to a public, queryable certificate — a chain of custody that travels with the piece.
Choose the service level that fits your submission
All service levels follow the same examination and grading methodology. The main difference is processing priority and estimated turnaround according to the selected service level. Turnaround starts after items are received and officially registered in the system, not from the date the submission is created online.
